Maya's Pathways is an immersive sensory storytelling programme that brings the UAE's landscapes, traditions and values to life through movement, music and imaginative play.

inspired by the landscapes, environments, and everyday life of the UAE, each session combines storytelling, movement, sensory exploration, and imaginative participation into calm, developmentally appropriate experiences for young children.

Together, children travel across desert pathways, follow water through ancient aflaj, help rebuild nests in shaded courtyards, and explore the world around them.

All stories, characters, environments, and programme worlds are original creations by Maya's Stories.

A TYPICAL PATHWAYS
JOURNEY

EACH VISIT IS A JOURNEY. CHILDREN DO NOT OBSERVE FROM
THE OUTSIDE – THEY BECOME PART OF THE STORY ITSELF.

VISIT 1

The Caravan Journey

Children join a shared journey across the UAE desert. Together they gather as a caravan through rituals of welcome and hospitality, travel across changing desert landscapes, encounter native wildlife, care for a tired and thirsty companion, discover how precious water is, welcome a lost traveller into their caravan, move together through a sandstorm, and arrive at a cool oasis where the journey gently transitions into exploration and play.

Rather than watching events unfold, children become part of the caravan itself: moving, helping, listening, imagining, and making decisions together. Each term, children journey through six story worlds inspired by the UAE. Descriptions of all six visits are shared directly with partner institutions.
